Friday Fill-Ins

1. My favorite food seasoning is cinnamon. So yummy! Did you know it has been used to lower blood sugar levels, alleviate indigestion, stomach cramps, intestinal spasms, nausea, and even flatulence! Now that's an air full.

2. 5 minutes of silence at home is music to my ears. It just usually doesn't happen with two rugrats running around.

3. Lucky is rolling your car across the highway, plowing through a fence, continuing to roll through the field and coming out without a scratch. So many people in our area have died doing the same thing. I'm just grateful I wore my seat belt (and kept my eyes closed!!) That happened to me about 10 years ago.

4. My religion is something I take very seriously.

5. Many people are raving about my Halloween sugar cookies today. Thankfully I brought some extra because everyone wanted one.

6. Bread was the last thing I bought at the store. I used almost the entire loaf last night making grilled cheese. Oh well, back to the store I go!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to taking the kids trick-or-treating, tomorrow my plans include doing something with my pumpkins that I never got around to carving and Sunday, I want to REST!!!!!

I got Boo-ed!

(Someone really needs to teach me how to do internal links because I still am too computer illiterate to figure it out!)
Here are the rules:
Pick some people to BOO and let them know that they have been BOO-ed. Have them link back to your blog to pick up their treat (picture) so they can BOO their friends. Put the picture on your sidebar so everyone knows that you have been BOO-ed.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

Bring on the Sweetness!!

Mmmmm....my mouth is watering already in anticipation of Halloween treats! It's great to have kids that are trick or treating age to go out and score some free candy. Especially since they are so willing to share with me! That's terrible I know.
***
As a youngster I remember crossing my fingers before we rang door bells hoping for tons of chocolate bars and sweets. I was NOT impressed with lame small hard candies or anything non-sugary. My face soured when we came across the house giving out raisins or toothbrushes. There is a time and place for toothbrushes but not in my goodie bag! Now that I'm a mom I can appreciate adults efforts to give out healthier snacks. I can appreciate it but remembering my youth I still have to give each child that comes to my door a handful of sweets. I can't help it!
***
Here are some pics of my favorite loot since I've got a MAJOR sweet tooth right now.

Twizzlers and Skittles
are delish but
bring on the chocolate!

Mouth watering yet??

butterfingers Pictures, Images and Photos

Last but not least...
My favorite...
Hershey's Miniatures! I usually get ALL of the special dark (unless mom is around) since I'm the only one that likes them in my family. Yum, they are all
SOOOOO
Good!!
Happy Trick or Treating Everyone!
What's your favorite Halloween candy?

Haunted Pirate Ship Carnival

Booooo!! It was carnival night on Saturday!
I was a major witch that night...
Well, dressed like one anyways...

What is adorable Dorothy doing fighting with a ninja??
I was in charge of the ghostly ring toss game
for the first half of the carnival.
It was actually a hard game. To win you
had to hook two rings over the ghosts
out of six tries.
I finally got a winner after about 20
disappointed kids. The winners received a
2-Liter Soda Pop. Talk about
filling up your treat bag!

Collin and Carlee helped me for awhile
gathering the rings.
They really needed bumpers for when
the rings started rolling under the
desks. I had to bend down and crawl
to retrieve them. Not a pretty sight in
a witch dress! I heard a rip at one point...

Collin aced the football throw!
But his favorite was Walk the Plank.

Probably because it was in his classroom!

Carlee loved the games where she could dig.

I had a hard time getting her away!!

Thankfully grandma and grandpa helped
keep track of my little monsters.
We had alot of fun and now
we can't wait for Halloween!!

Friday Fill-Ins

1. Right now, I'm feeling HUNGRY! I'm supposed to meet with the girls at 1:00 for lunch but I'm sitting here salivating.

2. Somewhere in the tropics is where I want to be.

3. How does one see candy or goodies and not eat them?

4. Dumb luck keeps me on track.

5. Please don't bother me when I'm reading late at night. That's my time.

6. Chocolate fills me with joy.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to eating taquitos and tostadas, tomorrow my plans include making Halloween goodies and going to the school Halloween carnival and Sunday, I want to pull taffy with my granny and family and watch Collin in the primary program. (That reminds me, he still needs to practice his part! Oops)

My New Title!

Hi everyone!
I actually need to thank two people for their ideas for my new title.

Marivic for her idea about playing off the theme of life behind the photos...

and

...mom! For her idea "A picture of love".

Thanks so much for helping me think! Heaven knows I need all the help I can get. I AM always behind the camera. I can't help it, I love taking pics. This title seems to suit me to a tee.

Afternoon with Carlee

Oh the doledroms of an afternoon at work when I should be working...yet don't want to! You've probably all had those moods when you just feel bleh. You don't wanna work and you have no motivation. That's where I was at Wednesday afternoon. Then my hubby called and said he'd picked up my baby from school. He had nutterbutter cookies in the truck and ofcourse she wanted some. Being allergic to peanuts it was a no go. So he brought her up to my office to have a snack before going home. I've got a drawer full of snacks that I get teased about. Little Miss Carlee sat at my desk and ate pringles and licorice with me. (Just ignore the pile of work on the corner of my desk. I know I did!)

She didn't want to go home once I put a cartoon on my computer. I'm glad no one else was in the office with me that afternoon so she could stay and keep me company.

This is her serious cartoon watching face.

All it takes is seeing her sweet face to get me outta the blehs.

New Title Soon!

Hi everyone! I'll be changing my blog title this week! I was going to do it a week ago but haven't got around to it yet. I think I've pinned down what I want it to be based on suggestions. Thank you so much for your ideas! If anyone has any last minute ideas I'll still consider them. I'll post the change this Friday and let the winners know.

thank you Pictures, Images and Photos
