I don't like V...I'm with your husband on this one. I don't like Valentine's Day for the same reason I don't like Mother's Day: the hype, the cost and the pressure. I think it's ridiculous to put so much emphasis on love and romance for one day: as if that one day is the basis for the whole year. <BR/><BR/>I don't need recognition on Valentine's Day to know that my husband loves me. He shows me in countless ways every day, and I hope I do the same for him.<BR/><BR/>It can be fun to use it as an excuse to make cookies and do cute things. The boys and I will make cookies and I like the extra chocolate treats and like you said, doing fun stuff for my family. But I would be very happy to see all the commercialism go away.
