Lookie!

It's so sad.

No more nursery.

No more babies.

It's true. The nursery has been officially torn down. It was a little depressing to see it go. After all I'd love to have another tiny baby keeping the room alive. But since it's not happening any time soon, I'm converting the space into a craft room. So far the room looks bare. Really bare. Thankfully a sweet woman Julienne gave me this adorable sign. It was perfect timing as the space was SCREAMING for something crafty. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Now I'll have to get busy trying to "girlify" the rest of the room. I think it's going to take awhile (especially since my decorating budget is zero) but eventually I'll have a nice little nook for all my crafty items. Anybody have any ideas for decorating on the cheap?? So far I have blue and green storage shelves (thanks sweetie!) so I need to coordinate some cute pictures and items within that color scheme.

I'm so excited for my space, but honey it can be easily converted back if we can ever have another bundle of joy!

Friday Fill-Ins

1. Apparently there's some sort of obsession with fire drills at work.

2. I love a sunny day.

3. 2009 has sped by super fast so far.

4. And that was it. What it was I can't say. It's a secret!

5. For too long I've been lugging around a coat. I was happy for some days without it.

6. I am not obsessed with shoes; I am not! Okay maybe I am, but I can't help it! (By the way I bought two pairs of awesome shoes last night! It's Eric's fault for letting me go into Famous Footwear.)

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to celebrating my mother in law Tina's birthday, and my uncle Kevin's, and my uncle Steven's (sheesh grandma you had your kids too close together!), tomorrow my plans include organizing, organizing, and cleaning and Sunday, I want to spend time with the kids and enjoy their sweet smiles!

Friday Update

The boys have been bus-y
in our garage.

Eric and Larry worked hard building
forms for the new concrete steps.

It went from this
old creaky thing:

...to this!
Lots better right?
Thanks guys!
You did awesome!

Little Carlee didn't mind
getting down and dirty
while the boys worked.

Of course the kids had to find some
mud. It's always a kid magnet.

Collin has been practicing his
aim with his Red Ryder BB gun.
(With daddy's supervision!)
He's getting pretty good but he
gets easily frustrated if he misses.

(My favorites out of the bunch.)

Carlee attended a princess party for
the very first time. I had to make her
own eggless cookies for the party and
everyone loved them.
Yum!
I should have brought more
though because there wasn't enough
to pass around. Oopsi!

Here's Carlee practicing her poise.

It was so much fun to have some
mommy daughter time together.
I'll post the rest of her pics on her
blog when I get the time.

Not much happened this week.
Carlee has been sick every day!
She missed the whole week of
school. Poor little thing...
I'm just hoping for a better week
coming up.

Cheese please!

I just love cheesy movies! I don't know why. It's a sickness really. I am just uncontrollably drawn to sappy romantic stories where the ending is neatly gift wrapped with unrealistic perfection. My hubby gets mad that I even watch romance movies saying, "Men aren't like that in real life." Of course his idea of romance is, "Hey baby, what are you wearing?" (Oh the hubby is gonna kill me for that one!) He does have his days though! Luv you!

Now, picture if you will a woman snuggled in a blanket watching a romance grow on the screen while devouring ice cream and M&M's. Oh yeah, that's contentment. Or at least it would be if my family would leave me alone for a two hour stretch! My guess is that it's not going to happen any time soon. Sigh.

Did I mention that I HAVE to watch any kind of Cinderella movie remake? It's just a must. My ultimate favorite could recite the whole movie is "Ever After" starring Drew Barrymore. She really did a fantastic acting job in that movie. There are so many more Cinderella remakes I could list. I'll bet I've watched every one out there. Well, at least the ones I've heard of!

This weekend I caught the movie "My Fake Fiance" on the ABC family movie channel. It's not really a Cinderella story but it was cheesylicious! It was kind of a new twist on the movie "Can't Buy Me Love". The girl needs to furnish her apartment, the boy needs cash, so they stage a fake wedding just to haul in the green. Obviously they fall in love with each other on the way. It couldn't be a cheesy romance without that!

So just gimme a wacky, cornball, sappy, overly dramatic, cheesy movie any day. I love it!

Answer me this: Are cheesy movies super fantastic or do I need to see a doctor to try to rid me of cheesyitis?

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday we headed over at my mother-in-law's house. We couldn't wait to pig out on ham, homemade scalloped potatoes and rolls, pasta salad, cheesecake, etc. I was really trying to get a cute Easter pic of Carlee before everyone came...

Photobucket

...but she kept on running away from me!

These next two pics are as close as I got.

Collin is a roll freak. Seriously, you better hide them if he comes over. He snitched two rolls before dinner, ate one during dinner, and devoured several more after that. I can't believe one little boy could eat so many!

Collin, Carlee , Kaitlyn and I all ate downstairs in the play room. We drank special "tea" out of our teacups. I added lots of sugar to mine! Then we immediately started working off our dinner. We ran up and down the stairs and headed outside to chase around the house. The kids were trying to steal my "magical" jewelry but it took them awhile to get it. Muwah ha ha!

Carrying the slowpoke Carlee wore me out more than anything. She was on my team as we tried to capture Collin and Kaitlyn and steal their magical wand of power. We had a blast though. I love family get togethers! Sorry you had to work honey!

2009 Easter Egg Hunt!

The Easter bunny came on Saturday the 11th to grandma Jensen's house. The kids were beyond excited and practically hopping like bunnies. It was gorgeous outside and there was NO wind and NO snow! Amazing for Idaho. It did start hailing later but at least we got to play outside for awhile with nice weather. I took too many pics and I wanted to put a LOT more on here but I had literally hundreds. (I can't help it! I had cute subjects!) Enjoy some of my favorite pics of the hunt.

Here we go!!!
